Zodongo International Advances Dialogue on Carbon Credit Solutions and Waste-to-Energy Initiatives

Zodongo International, a forward-thinking solutions provider in the energy and environmental sectors, continues to champion sustainable innovation through its carbon credit strategy. In a significant step toward strengthening Uganda's position in the global carbon economy, the company's Co-founder, Mr. Ezekiel Ttendo, held a high-level engagement with the Hon. Phionah Nyamutoro, the State Minister for Minerals.

The meeting centered on exploring how Uganda can maximize its carbon credit potential by aligning national frameworks with international sustainability standards. Mr. Ttendo emphasized the urgency and opportunity in tapping into carbon credit markets, positioning Uganda not only as a participant but as a regional leader in climate finance and emissions reduction initiatives.

A core part of the dialogue also explored innovative approaches to converting waste into power—a key pillar under Zodongo International's broader Energy and Mineral Resources strategy. This aligns with Uganda's developmental goals of increasing energy access while promoting environmental conservation and reducing dependency on non-renewable energy sources.

Key Discussion Points: • Carbon credit market opportunities for Uganda • Waste-to-energy conversion technologies • International sustainability standards alignment • Regional leadership in climate finance • Economic value creation through environmental solutions

Zodongo International remains committed to working hand-in-hand with government stakeholders, private sector actors, and international partners to deliver transformative solutions that unlock economic value, create jobs, and contribute meaningfully to climate resilience.

This initiative represents our continued dedication to sustainable innovation and our vision of positioning East Africa as a leader in the global transition to clean energy and environmental sustainability.
